WWII GERMAN BERLIN UNIVERSITY SPORTS PATCH
This is a truly very unusual - and/or neatly 'BeVo'-woven! - sports-patch (ie. 'Leistungsabzeichen'), as was intended for usage by members studying within the: 'Berliner Universität' that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. mint- unissued and/or never tunic-attached-), condition. The attractive patch depicts a 'Heerestype'- eagle-device with above the text: 'Hochschulsport' and below the text: 'Leistungsabzeichen - Berlin'. The patch - which is void of a makers'-mark - measures: 12,5 x 10,5 cms. and was simply never used (it comes in a once-folded- albeit unconfectioned condition as can be seen on the pictures). The neat badge was presumably intended for a students'-uniform or even sports'-related outfit. Simply an attractive piece of sports'-related cloth-insignia that would merit further investigative work!
WWII GERMAN BERLIN UNIVERSITY SPORTS PATCH and CA
This is a truly very unusual - and/or neatly 'BeVo'-woven! - sports-patch (ie. 'Leistungsabzeichen'), as was intended for usage by members studying within the: 'Berliner Universität' (being an example that comes with a period filled-in inscription-form for a student named: 'Ortlepp') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. mint- unissued and/or never tunic-attached-), condition. The attractive patch depicts a 'Heerestype'- eagle-device with above the text: 'Hochschulsport' and below the text: 'Leistungsabzeichen - Berlin'. The patch - which is void of a makers'-mark - measures: 12,5 x 10,5 cms. and was simply never used (it comes in an unfolded- ie. unconfectioned condition as can be seen on the pictures). The neat badge was presumably intended for a students'-uniform or even sports'-related outfit. This example came with a carton-based 'archive-card' or: 'Grundkarte' (which is sized: 21,5 x 15 cms.) being some sort of proof that the Berlin student 'Kurt Ortlepp' passed various sports-tests in the year 1937.
