LUFTWAFFE OFFICER DAGGER HANGERS
The hangers have fine brocade fronts having the original purple gray textured color with twin lines of bullion stitching running the length. The reverse of the straps have the velvet backing. The rectangular buckles and snaps features the raised out oak leaf motif and are worn condition. The lower snaps are the push in type. This set of hangers measures nine inches at their longest strap. A nice used set of hangers.
GENERAL ASSAULT BADGE
This example is a solid version, with a slightly domed reverse. Approximately 100% of the original finish is intact. The reverse has a vertically mounted pin the functions perfectly . A very nice example! This badge was instituted on June 1, 1940 and was intended for award to personnel who supported an attack but were not eligible for Infantry or Armored Assault Badges. It was awarded to members of the Artillery, Engineers, Anti-Tank and Anti-Aircraft Units that served the Infantry or Armor in an auxiliary role in the conduct of the assault. Medical personnel were also eligible if they cared for wounded under close combat conditions.
