WWII GERMAN PANZER OFFICER O/S CAP
There is some light wear and discoloration throughout the field grey wool body of the cap, and very slight tracking and moth holes in a few spots. Each side has a single metal air vent grommet. The upper and front edges are piped in silver bullion that remains in sound condition! The Army eagle is in bright silver flatwire with a green background; this has been hand applied to the front peak of the cap. An Officers cockade is in place, with a red felt bulls eye and shiny silver bullion piping. The pink cloth soutache is held in place by three green tread straps and goes into the bottom side of hat.; The interior is fully lined in a light green cloth, which is worn and discolored from use. Size, approximately a 58.Hat had leather sweatband in front but is missing. A sound example of a very desirable side cap!
