WWII GERMAN SA BROWNSHIRT
SA BROWNSHIRT – This is an early sa brownshirt jacket which has been in my collection since the mid-sixties. As with many early sa jackets all the insignia is hand sewn on as many lower level members did not use the tailor shop. The early arm band is multi construction and embroidered (not printed) The sleeve was wider than the armband so an extra piece was sewn on as pictured. The sa insignia is light blue and white. Buttons are present except for the cuffs have cuff links the source of which are unknown to me. There is no evidence of a label as this jacket predates the RZM regulations. There may have been belt support hooks at one time but they are no longer present. There are no tears or mothing that I see except for minor interior tears where the belt hooks were. These jackets are becoming very hard to find. CONSIGNMENT TP
