LUFTWAFFE RADIO/AIR GUNNERS BADGE
This is an zinc example with most of finish gone. It was intended to be awarded to Air Gunners, Radio Operators and Mechanics who successfully completed two months of training in one of the positions, in a minimum of five operational flights. The badge could have been awarded should the recipient be wounded on an operational flight. It depicts a Luftwaffe eagle in flight, clutching in its claws a pair of arrow headed lightning bolts. This example was produced by the firm of W.DEUMER LUDENSCHEID , it also has a name scratched above marker but i cannot read it. It has a vertically mounted narrow pin on the reverse and works perfectly. A choice example! Same badge in Combat Badges by Previtera luft volume 2.
WWII CASED BRONZE STAR (NAMED)
World War II United States Army bronze star medal. The medal is mounted on a slot brooch and it is officially machine engraved on the reverse with the recipients name. It comes in its original titled presentation case with lapel pin and pinback service ribbon. This medal also has a 'V' on medal and ribbon. these are becoming rare.

This is a nice period booklet (1942?) entitled: 'Schnelle Truppen - Teil 1. - Panzer & Panzerjäger'. This is part 1 of a series of 2. This issue originates from a series entitled: A truly nice booklet with some colourfull illustrations. A nice addition to the PZ collector!
