WWII GERMAN WOMEN’S LABOR SERVICE RANK BADGE
A German Women’s Labor Service Badge for Rank Maidenführerin; in silvered bronze; horizontal pinback; reverse numbered. These badges were worn (on the collar of the blouse by women of the German Labor Services before the organization merged with the RAD. The border has the script “Arbeit für dein Volk adelt dich Selbst - Deutscher Frauenarbeitsdienst (loosely translated: Work for your people makes you noble - German Women’s Labour Service. Rare early type.
WWII GERMAN RAD CAP BADGE
A machine embroidered insignia, whose cut-out field-grey wool base measures approximately 5cm x 5.5cm featuring an embroidered upward pointing silver spade head, bordered in red, with a black mobile swastika to its center, and silver sheaves of wheat extending upwards from the handle. This is for one.
WWII GERMAN MOTOR/ARMORED MECHANIC 1ST CLASS TRADE
The badge is in the form of a roughly, 60mm diameter, field-grey wool base with a machine embroidered, twelve cog, gear wheel with four inner "spokes" and a central, circular, "hub", all in pink rayon threads. The outer edge of the badge is trimmed in twisted, pink rayon cording that is neatly hand stitched in place.
