KRETA REPLICA MEDALLION
WWII replica of the Kreta Medallion, which commemorates the battle that was fought over the Greek island of Crete between the German Paratroopers, and Greek and Allied forces and civilians of Crete. This is a brass die-stamped medallion and measures 2 1/4 inches in width. The front features a Luftwaffe Paratrooper surrounded by "Der Einstaz Auf Kreta 20.5.41." The reverese has two plains with Paratroopers jumping from them surrounded by the words "Mit JU-52 Unter General Student". *CDR*
