JAGER SLEEVE PATCH
The oval sleeve patch worn on the right sleeve of Army tunics by personnel assigned to a Jäger Unit. Fully embroidered. The cable-like ring around the insignia is in light green thread and the leaves have light green central veins. The patch is in mint condition, with the colors quite intense. Great Jäger insignia.
WWII GERMAN GENERAL ASSAULT BADGE
This example is a solid version, with a slightly domed reverse. Approximately 50% of the original silver finish is intact, while the highlights show moderate wear. The reverse has a vertically mounted pin the functions perfectly . A very nice example! This badge was instituted on June 1, 1940 and was intended for award to personnel who supported an attack but were not eligible for Infantry or Armored Assault Badges. It was awarded to members of the Artillery, Engineers, Anti-Tank and Anti-Aircraft Units that served the Infantry or Armor in an auxiliary role in the conduct of the assault. Medical personnel were also eligible if they cared for wounded under close combat conditions.
KRIEGSMARINE FEMALE PERSONNEL O/S CAP
Head gear for female military personnel is uncommon . This example is a real nice one, with the navy blue wool showing no mothing. The side skirt is piped around the top edge in golden yellow cord, this being for female personnel. One lines of Yellow thread secure the skirt front to the front body of the cap. There is an excellent other ranks style machine woven bevo national eagle in golden yellow thread woven into a dark blue background . The eagle is applied to the center of the skirt at the front of the cap. The cap is interior is of fine black cotton/rayon blend cloth, and marked in white ink on the left lower side with R.B. Nr. 0/0408/0036 and the size, 54. There is no sign of any wear whatsoever the interior is in perfect condition. An extremely nice example of female Navy auxiliary headgear, in very collectible condition.
RARE ARMY STANDARD BEARER'S SLEEVE PATCH
Rare Army Standard Bearers Sleeve Patch (Infantry) Super condition, un-issued; the patch is machine woven (BeVo) in three colors: aluminum thread (flatwire), bright white thread (Infantry branch color), and black thread all woven onto a thin, dark green rayon backing cloth. The insignia portrays two crossed Standards in miniature, with a Triad cluster of oak leaves in aluminum thread woven at the bottom center. The insignia was cut from a stock roll, which makes it essentially a large square of cloth. Excellent condition!
