SCARCE WAFFEN-SS SPORTS SHIRT INSIGNIA
Scarce Waffen-SS sport-shirt emblem, slightly used condition! This is a used, so-called: Waffen-SS sport-shirt emblem, that came straight off a shirt. The badge is executed in so-called 'BeVo' weave technique and is a text-book example. The badge is a bit dirty from normal wear & age & is stained on the back. A nice and scarce piece of SS insignia!
UKRAINIAN VOLUNTEER'S CAP COCKADE
Roughly, 32mm diameter, stamped, two piece, alloy construction Ukrainian cap cockade with gilt and light blue finishes. The high relief cockade features a gilt, fluted base with a central, light blue painted, circular field with a separate, gilt washed, trident of Volodymyr the Great to the center. The trident is secure to the cockade by two, small bent over prongs which are visible to the reverse. Both main attachment prongs are complete.
WWII GERMAN FELDGENDARMERIE SERVICE DUTY GORGET
Stamped, five piece, sheet metal and alloy construction gorget with silver, luminous yellow and dark matte grey washes. The half-moon shaped gorget measures roughly, 16.5cm wide from upper tip to tip and 7.5cm tall and has a raised lip to the outer edges. The gorget has a separate, stamped alloy, army style eagle with out-stretched wings, clutching a wreathed, canted swastika in its talons, to the center, pebbled buttons to both the upper tips and a furled "banner" with embossed Latin script, "Feldgendarmerie" to the bottom. The eagle, buttons and banner script all have a luminous yellow wash, allowing them to glow in the dark for identification at night. The reverse of the gorget has three brazed on sheet metal tabs, with one to each top tip and the third tab offset to the left center. Both of the tabs to the top tips were designed for the suspension chain and the third tab was designed to slip through a button hole on the uniform. The reverse of the gorget still has its protective, cut-out, cardstock backing. The gorget comes complete with its matte silver washed, magnetic sheet metal suspension chain. Each link on the suspension chain is joined to the next by crimped oval wire retainers. super nice!
OTTOMAN GALLIPOLI STAR
The Gallipoli Star or Iron Crescent, was instituted by the Sultan Mehmed Reshad V. in 1915 for gallantry in battle. It was awarded for the duration of the First World War. The red enamel and nickel plated brass, five pointed star, with finial balls to the points and edged in nickel plated brass, measures approximately 6cm across. A raised crescent enclosed the cipher of the Sultan, as well as, the date AD 1915 (1333 AH). A simple hinge is to the reverse, as well as the manufacture mark "B.B. & Co." This particular manufacture is located in Berlin. Of Note: All Gallipoli Stars with red enamel and not paint, are typically German/Austrian made. The term "Iron Crescent" was coined by Germany/Austria.
WWII GERMAN M42 SHORT BARREL 27MM FLARE PISTOL
Stamped steel with brazed seam construction. Short, 6 1/8" barrel, with a 1 1/16" inside diameter. The matte grey finish is about 65% retained. Brown, grooved grips held in place by two screw head bolts. Lanyard "D" ring to bottom of grip, held in place by crimped heel. Barrel release button and trigger still function. The pistol is marked with the manufacturer's code, 'wa'. Nice complete example. US SHIPPING ONLY
