WWII GERMAN WAFFEN-SS COPPER BROWN EM'S SHOULDER
Black wool construction slip on shoulder straps with Copper Brown rayon waffenfarbe piping. The bottom of the straps are in field-grey wool while the narrow slip on retaining tongues are in black wool with a black rayon reinforcement panel machine stitched to the reverse. The straps are in overall very good condition with minimal age and usage toning. A harder color to find. These have been discussed on the WAF forum.
WWII GERMAN RED CROSS DECORATION TYPE II (1934-19
This has been upgraded by the factory to a 3rd class. Cased, missing ribbon. This is a Red Cross Decoration Second Class of the 3rd form (1937-1939). However, it should be noted that this piece was originally a 2nd form (1934-1937) featuring an eagle but without swastika and was factory modified to the 3rd form by placing the new eagle with swastika directly over the existing eagle without swastika. If you look closely you will see some parts of the original eagle that are still visible. That original eagle was not a separate part but was integral to the cross itself so the black enamel of the eagle was flush with the white enamel of the cross. And the white enamel on the reverse of the cross is correct for this type. See picture of another.
