WWII GERMAN EM/NCO'S VISOR CAP EAGLE AND WREATH S
Nicely detailed die struck, aluminum construction, second pattern, (Circa 1937-1945), Luftwaffe eagle with out-stretched wings, clutching a canted swastika in one talon. The reverse of the eagle has two of the original prongs intact.Unmarked. Single piece wreath, die stamped, aluminum construction winged visor cap wreath with a painted national tri-color cockade. The winged, open topped, wreath features four, horizontally extended, "wings" emanating from the central oak-leaf wreath that encompasses the national tri-color cockade. The wreath and wings both have finely embossed detailing. The cockade features a ribbed, circular black outer ring encompassing a ribbed, silver inner ring and a smooth red centerpiece. The reverse of the insignia is a mirror image of the obverse and both attachment prongs with raised, crimped, retaining lips are intact.Very vaulted.
WWII GERMAN POLIZEI EIGHT YEAR LONG SERVICE AWARD
Polizei long service awards. Roughly 38mm diameter, die struck bronze award with a nickel/silver plated finish. The obverse features a raised outer lip with an embossed police emblem consisting of the police style national eagle clutching a wreathed swastika encompassed by a vertically oval oak-leaf wreath on a smooth background field. The reverse features a large embossed, "8", to the center encompassed by Gothic script, "Für Treue Dienst in der Polizei", (For Loyal Service in the Police), also on a smooth background field. The ribbon suspension loop and ring are both intact. The award comes complete with the original moire cornflower blue horizontally ribbed rayon ribbon.
ARMY DAGGER HANGING STRAPS
This is a fine set of hangers, having a plain upper closed box clip with all aluminum hardware. The straps are retained by the folded over and sewn method. The brocade shows wear. The velvet backs are the greenish variety, exhibiting surface wear/age. The buckles and slides are oak leafed. The lower snaps are the push-in type. This set measures 11" in length. Honest used pair.
12th AAF SERGEANT TUNIC
Nice sergeant tunic serving with the 12th AAF. A fully lined od wool Ike jacket with button front. On the left side is the 12AAF patch nicely done with white stiching, sergeant cheron, overseas bars and service stripe. on the right side is the sergeant stripe and meritorious patch. On the collars are the US and Air corps disc,US is screw back, Air corps is clutch back. On the chest are two ribbon bars and a 12th AAF enamel pin. Tunic comes with pants and shirt, pants has a tag. Constituted and activated as Twelfth AF on August 20, 1942. The 12th AF participated in the invasion of Algeria and French Morocco in November, 1942. Operated in the Mediterranean theater until the end of the war.
