WAFFEN SS KNIGHTS CROSS POSTCARD
Original postcard 5 7/8 by 4 1/8 inches, showing SS Obersturmbannfuhrer Kumm, Otto Kumm, (1 October 1909 in Hamburg 23 March 2004) was an SS-Brigadeführer and Generalmajor of the Waffen-SS. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. After the war, he became one of the founders and the first head of the veteran organization HIAG.
WWII GERMAN MEDICAL OFFICERS VISOR CAP
Hat has been used during the war, piped in dark blue, embroidered wreath, metal eagle, size marked 58. Maker is Korn marked on sweat shield Stirndruckfrei Deutsches Reichspatent. Visor and sweatband intact minor moth nips on top and some mothing in back around band as shown. All in all a good 100% original visor. Consignment TP
WWII GERMAN SILVER WOUND BADGE
Roughly, 1 3/4", (4.4 cm), tall, 1 3/8", (3.5cm), wide, vertically oval, standard, 1939 pattern, die struck, solid backed, alloy construction badge with a silver washed finish features an embossed M35 pattern helmet with a high relief, canted, swastika to the center, superimposed over crossed swords on a pebbled base encompassed by an oval laurel leaf wreath. The silver wash is only retained about 30% . The solid reverse has a crimped, soldered, hinge on a rectangular base plate, inset into a rectangular recess, a thin, round, vertical, pin and a soldered, oval base plate, inset into an oval recess, intended for the catch . The reverse of the badge is well marked with the embossed manufacturers formally approved numerical code within an elongated, oval cartouche, "107", indicating manufacture by Carl Wild of Hamburg.
PANZER ASSAULT BADGE IN BRONZE FRANK & REIF
Die struck, partially scooped backed, alloy award with a bronze finish. The badge is in the form of a vertically oval oak-leaf wreath with a Wehrmacht style eagle with down-swept wings, superimposed to the top center, encompassing the forward profile of a tank. The wreath, eagle and tank all show nice detailing. The bronze finish is 80% retained. The reverse has scooped body. The reverse is well marked with embossed manufacturer's name. Superb example.
WWII GERMAN TRAFFIC CONTROL ARMBAND
Bright orange cotton/rayon construction armband with black printed, Latin script in two lines, "Verkehrs-Aufsicht", (Traffic-Control), to the obverse center. Both the top and bottom edges of the armband have a row of reinforcement stitching and the reverse has a machine stitched vertical seam. The armband is in overall mint, clean condition. Scarce armband.
WWII GERMAN IRON CROSS 2ND CLASS, 1939 27
1939 pattern, die struck, three piece, iron and alloy construction. Single piece iron core and a two piece alloy frame. The obverse features an embossed, high relief, central, canted, swastika with the re-institution date, "1939", to the bottom arm. The reverse bottom arm has the embossed original institution date, "1813". The swastika is in nice high relief while the dates are somewhat lower. The medal loop and ribbon suspension ring are both intact. The cross comes complete with a piece of original ribbed rayon ribbon 2 5/8''. Maker marked 27 Anton Schenkl's Nachf. Wien
