WWII Sterling Silver Army Navy Production

Two pins,one is marked sterling.
The “E” award was an Army-Navy Award for “Excellence” in production in war products during the war. The “E” awards were given to companies and their employees for excellence. For example if the company produced a large number of war materials and/or filled military orders in a short period of time. These pins were given to employees on a card, which certified their contribution to the war. The card had a message from the President. There were also certificates given to individuals. The companies were given a flag they could fly to show their contribution to the war effort. The E award was a great honor to both the company and their employees.
