WAR MERIT CROSS WITH OUT SWORDS

This example is a mid-war production with a zinc base. The original silver wash finish remains approximately 30% intact, and has toned/anodized giving it a slightly darker appearance. There is some moderate discoloration to the cross. The detail is good! The award reverse is similar to the obverse, with a standard coke bottle shaped horizontal pin. The body of cross is maker marked with the number L/11. A sound example overall!
